The agent of Francois Clerc has denied that Manchester United are after the French defender.
Twenty-six-year-old full back Clerc has been linked to The Red Devils after his agent Frederic Guerra was pictured alongside Sir Alex Ferguson’s brother and United scout Martin.
But the French representative has denied discussing a possible move to Old Trafford for the defender.
Nevertheless, Guerra has affirmed that Clerc, who picked up a cruciate knee ligament injury and only appeared nine times for OL last term, is the kind of player that the Premier League champions could be after.
“Indeed I spoke with Martin Ferguson during OL’s home games with Barcelona and PSG,” Guerra told setanta.com.
“I said so to a journalist during a radio show and then he explained that we talked about Francois Clerc for United.
“But it is rubbish. None of my players have been contacted by Manchester United.
“But Clerc is 26, an international for France, and he is the kind of player that United could be interested in.”
